Robert's class at Crystal Bridges on February 16 was a huge success; all seats were filled and all smiles were on. A room full of creative adults were taught about his approach to painting on wood with acrylic paint, and everyone took the lesson to heart, thinking outside the box when it came to representing their subjects.
We'd like to thank Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art for the opportunity to share Robert's work! It was a day of fun and inspiration.
This September, Robert's sculpture Sphere XOX was installed at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, with great community participation and a fantastic ultraviolet party to highlight its first night on display. Early next year, February 16 to be exact, Robert returns to the museum, this time to teach a class on painting.
For aspiring artists or fans who simply want to learn his technique, "Wildlife on Wood" will be fun and inspiring. Visit the museum's calendar for more information and to sign up for the class. Class time is 1-5PM. Registration is $55.
Do you love the artistic process? Have you ever seen a 4x8 foot vision materialize in front of your eyes? Now's your chance to witness Robert create one of his spectacular large paintings for the crowd at Chelsea's on January 2, 2014.
Dj Havok and Smar-t Jones will be featured that night, rocking the house with a heavy set of Dubstep, Ragga Bass and Trap Music! No Cover! Visit the event's Facebook page for more info.
The Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce named Robert R. Norman and Jeremy Mason McGraw Artist of the Year for 2013 at their annual Awards Banquet this November.
The artists' work with the Creative Energy Project this spring led to the creation of the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce Sphere, a community sculpture that involved over 600 volunteers and months of preparation, and was installed in Basin Park during the 26th Annual May Festival of the Arts in 2013. The huge success of the Sphere project was integral to the artists receiving the award.
Sincere thanks to the Chamber and the City of Eureka Springs for recognizing this achievement!
Thanks to the Eureka Springs Independent for featuring Robert's distinctive fish chair on the cover of the Fun Guide for August! The guide also published Bob's bio and other images of his work.

Robert and Suzanne would like to thank everyone who came out to see us at Art on the Creeks. The event featuring over 40 artists was held at Village on the Creeks in Rogers, Arkansas on August 1, 2013.
The atmosphere of the event was lively, as participants strolled around the walkway observing the art and interacting with the artists. Musical and dance performances held in the center of the grounds showcased other local talents.
We brought the latest artwork and prints by Robert R. Norman, as well as a variety of our distinctive, sustainably-built rustic furniture. One highlight of the day for us was holding a drawing for a signed print, which was won by Laura Goeller. Thanks to the event organizers and everyone who participated for a day of fun promoting art!
Suzanne Norman is Robert's wife, writing to keep his fans updated and give them the inside story on Robert's work.
